1. Airport Utility version 5.6.1 for old 'Airport Express / Extreme' stations no longer supported by newer versions of OSX. Download Airport Utility 5.6.1 for Mac airport-utility-5-6-1.dmg (10.81 MiB / 11.34 MB).
2. It is possible the Mac is the problem, so restart it while holding down Option-D, which launches Apple’s hardware test to uncover any hardware problems on the Mac.
