To Install R

Open an internet browser and go to www.r-project.org.
Click the 'download R' link in the middle of the page under 'Getting Started.'
Select a CRAN location (a mirror site) and click the corresponding link.
Click on the 'Download R for (Mac) OS X' link at the top of the page.
Click on the file containing the latest version of R under 'Files.'
Save the .pkg file, double-click it to open, and follow the installation instructions.
Now that R is installed, you need to download and install RStudio.

Download R-Studio Data Recovery for Mac to recover data on formatted or damaged disks and partitions. To install R on a Mac, click the “Download R for Mac” link. Next, click on the R-3.0.3 package link (or the package link for the most current release of R). An installer will download to guide you through the installation process, which is very easy. May 13, 2020 Choose RStudio, and press Download RStudio Desktop. Press Download RStudio for Mac. Open the.DMG file from your Downloads folder. Drag and drop the RStudio icon to the Applications folder. RStudio is now installed on your computer. R and RStudio are great tools to explore and analyze the data.

Go to www.rstudio.com and click on the 'Download RStudio' button.
Click on 'Download RStudio Desktop.'
Click on the version recommended for your system, or the latest Mac version, save the .dmg file on your computer, double-click it to open, and then drag and drop it to your applications folder.

To Install the SDSFoundations Package

Download SDSFoundations - version 1.4 - to your desktop (make sure it has the '.tgz' extension).
Open RStudio.
Click on the Packages tab in the bottom right window.
Click 'Install.'
Select install from 'Package Archive File.'
Select the SDSFoundations package file from your desktop.
Click install. You are done! You can now delete the SDSpackage file from your desktop.

This directory contains binaries for a base distribution and packages to run on Mac OS X (release 10.6 and above). Mac OS 8.6 to 9.2 (and Mac OS X 10.1) are no longer supported but you can find the last supported release of R for these systems (which is R 1.7.1) here. Releases for old Mac OS X systems (through Mac OS X 10.5) and PowerPC Macs can be found in the old directory.

Note: CRAN does not have Mac OS X systems and cannot check these binaries for viruses.Although we take precautions when assembling binaries, please use the normal precautions with downloaded executables.

Package binaries for R versions older than 3.2.0 are only available from the CRAN archive so users of such versions should adjust the CRAN mirror setting (https://cran-archive.r-project.org) accordingly.

Please check the MD5 checksum of the downloaded image to ensure that it has not been tampered with or corrupted during the mirroring process. For example type
openssl sha1 R-4.0.3.pkg
in the Terminal application to print the SHA1 checksum for the R-4.0.3.pkg image. On Mac OS X 10.7 and later you can also validate the signature using
pkgutil --check-signature R-4.0.3.pkg
